digital technologies
The Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies empowers students to shape change by influencing how contemporary and emerging information systems and practices are applied to meet current and future needs. A deep knowledge and understanding of information systems enables students to be creative and discerning decision-makers when they select, use and manage data, information, processes and digital systems to meet needs and shape preferred futures. The Task
We have been looking at the varying ways data can be represented. Digitally the most interesting way has been via the infographic. Through our investigations each student will create an infographic that makes a comparison of an Asian country and Australia.

Your infographic should compare at least four of the following
-

Your infographic will be informative as well as being creative and engaging.
The Due Date is 1st July 2016.

Your infographic will be presented digitally via a USB stick

Differentiation:
Challenge: You may challenge yourself and compare two Asian countries with Australia in one infographic.
Teacher's note: Students who are unable to achieve this level are encouraged to complete an infographic with two comparisons.

What is an Infographic?
Infographics make complex information eye catching, shareable and easily digestible.
I have provided two examples for students to use as a guide. From this we will do one as a class to help with understanding the process of creating an infographic using collected data.
